Do you ship international?

Inspect items upon arrival. If there’s an issue,
contact us in 24 hours, and we’ll work to resolve it.

How long does shipping take?

Domestic orders arrive in 3-10 business days, NO INTERNATIONAL order…yet.

What products do you offer?

We provide premium all in one grow kits,
sterilized grain spawn, substrates, and cultivation supplies.

Are your products beginner-friendly?

Yes! Our kits and supplies are designed for both
beginners and experienced growers, with easy-to-follow instructions.

What are mushroom genetics, and why do they matter?

Mushroom genetics refer to the quality and
viability of the spores or cultures you use for cultivation. Poor genetics can
result in slow colonization, low yields, or failure to fruit, regardless of the
substrate quality.

Does ShroomFolk provide spores or exotic cultures with the grow bags?

No, our grow bags come pre-sterilized and ready
for inoculation, but the genetics (spores or exotic cultures) must be sourced by the
grower. This allows you to choose the mushroom strain that best suits your
needs.

What happens if poor genetics are used?

Using weak or contaminated spores/cultures can
lead to poor colonization or complete failure, even with high-quality grow
bags. It’s crucial to source healthy, viable spores or cultures from a
reputable supplier.

Who is responsible for the results of the grow?

As the grower, it is your responsibility to
ensure the spores or cultures you use are of high quality and suitable for the
conditions provided. The performance of our sterilized grow bags depends on the
genetics you introduce.

What are exotic spores/cultures & gourmet/medicinal mushroom cultures?

Exotic Spores & Cultures

Exotic spores and cultures, are associated with psychoactive compounds and are often studied for research purposes or personal exploration where legal. At ShroomFolk, we do not endorse or support the illegal cultivation of any substances. We encourage all growers to familiarize themselves with and adhere to the laws in their area before working with exotic spores or cultures. These products are intended for microscopy or educational use where legally permitted.

Gourmet & Medicinal Mushrooms

Gourmet and medicinal mushrooms, such as lion’s mane, shiitake, and reishi, are cultivated for their culinary and health benefits. Gourmet mushrooms are renowned for their flavors and textures, making them a favorite in kitchens around the world. What should I do to ensure success?

Do you guarantee results?

While we guarantee that our grow bags are pre-sterilized and contamination-free when
shipped, the outcome depends on the quality of genetics and the grower’s
practices. We cannot guarantee results when poor genetics are used.

Will you provide Gourmet & Medicinal Genetics

We are in the process of developing a Gourmet Mushroom Genetics library to complement our grow kits.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return a product?

1. Strict No-Return Policy

Due to the sterile nature of our products:

  • We do not accept returns or exchanges of any opened mushroom grow kits, agar testers, or substrates once they leave our facility.
  • Unopened, undamaged items in original packaging may be considered for return within 7 days of delivery (contact support first).

How long will it take to receive my refund?

We will issue a refund OR ship a replacement product at our discretion if:

  • Your order arrives damaged (provide photo proof within 48 hours).
  • Your kit is lost in transit (reported after 7 days without tracking updates).
  • The product has verified manufacturing defects (e.g., cracked container, missing parts).

Note: Contamination occurring after delivery is not covered (see FAQ for sterilization best practices).

3. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 7 business days.
  • Replacements ship free within 3 business days of claim approval.
