HOW IT WORKS:
1.    Test your culture on the included agar tester (wait 3-5 days to confirm it's clean)
2.    Inject 1-3ml of liquid culture into the grain layer through the bottom injection port
3.    Store in darkness at 70-75°F — colonization takes 4-8 weeks with liquid culture
4.    At 30-40% grain colonization, break and shake — gently mix the grain and substrate together through the sealed bag (do not open the bag)
5.    Wait for 100% colonization — the entire contents should appear white with no brown patches
6.    Fruit using one of two methods (see below)
FRUITING — TWO OPTIONS:
Method 1: Passive (try this first) Once fully colonized, move the bag to a spot with indirect light on a 12-hour cycle and lower the temperature to 65-70°F. The filter patch provides airflow. No bag modification needed. If no pins form within two weeks, move to Method 2.
Method 2: Cut-Top (backup) Cut the top seal off the bag to increase fresh air exchange. Mist the inside of the bag at least once daily to prevent drying out. Placing the bag inside a plastic tote helps maintain humidity.
