Drippy Corn Grain Spawn — 2 lb (Two 1 lb Containers)

Description:

Two 1 lb containers of sterilized popcorn grain spawn, prepared with the Drippy Corn method — each kernel is coated with a thin film of corn sugar during prep, giving your mycelium an immediately available energy source for faster, more aggressive colonization right from injection.

Why Drippy Corn? Standard grain spawn relies on the mycelium slowly breaking down complex starches before it can use them. Drippy Corn skips that step. The sugar coating is metabolized directly, which means colonization starts faster and the mycelium establishes itself before contaminants get a chance. Speed is one of the best defenses against contamination.

Why Containers Instead of Bags?

• These containers are autoclavable and reusable 20+ times — clean, sterilize, refill, repeat
• Removable lids allow for agar transfers and grain-to-grain work, not just syringe injection
• Compact and stackable — run multiple genetics at once without taking up shelf space
• Filled 2/3 full to leave room for shaking and breaking up colonized grain

Inoculation Methods:

• Liquid culture through the integrated injection port
• Agar wedge transfer (remove lid in front of flow hood or SAB)
• Grain-to-grain transfer from an existing colonized container

What's Included:

• 2 × sterilized 1 lb Drippy Corn containers (with filtered lids and injection ports)

How to Use:

1. Inject or transfer your culture into the grain
2. Store in darkness at 70-75°F
3. Shake at 20-30% colonization to distribute mycelium
4. Once fully colonized, use as spawn for bulk substrate, grain-to-grain transfers, or further expansion
